Marcel, of Dutch nationality, graduated in 1989 from Ghent University in Belgium. In that year he moved to England and first worked in a mixed practice in Suffolk.
It was not until 1991 that he moved to North West Norfolk, now his home county, to work in a companion animal practice in Heacham for six years.
In 1997 his lifetime ambition to have his own practice was fulfilled when an opportunity arose to buy the practice in East Rudham, then called East Rudham Veterinary Centre.
Professionally Marcel’s special interests are medicine, soft tissue surgery and endoscopy. Outside his profession he enjoys hockey, sailing, skiing, ancient history and barbecuing. He has three dogs, Benno, a black Labrador and two naughty Terriers, Nutmeg and Toffee.
